Our organic tan is custom blended for you and takes eight hours to fully develop. The Quickie is also custom blended, however, it is a time release formula. Meaning the longer you leave it on the darker it will get. Your Tantress will give you a time frame for rinsing after your skin consultation.

No. Spray tans are strictly cosmetic and will not provide any protection from the sun – we suggest Sun Bum SPF to protect your skin and spray tan!

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in – keep in mind whatever you leave on will leave a tan line. If you’re getting spray tanned for an event you’re wearing a strapless dress for you don’t want to wear a halter bathing suit top for the spray tan.

Spray tan appointments are scheduled in 15 minute increments. If you’re a new client try to arrive five minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to fill out the required paperwork.

Set time is the time the tan takes to develop, during this time there is no getting wet at all. Water will remove the tan resulting in no color development, or a streaky color development.

Toner is a prep spray we apply before the actual tan. It will gently exfoliate, moisturize and balance the pH level of your skin. The final part is important, if the skin is too alkaline the spray tan may appear more golden than it should.

DHA ( Dihydroxyacetone ) is the ingredient in tanning products that ‘tans’ the skin. DHA reacts with the amino acids on the skin’s surface resulting in a deep color. There are two types of DHA; synthetic and organic. Ours is organic – derived from sugar cane and sugar beets.

Our organic tan traditionally lasts a bit longer than the quick tan so we suggest that option pre-vacay. Salt water and chlorine will dry the skin out, dry skin will flake off and take the tan with it. Make sure to keep the skin moisturized! We like Nourish or After Sun. SPF should be oil free / paraben free/ PABA free – we carry Sun Bum that has been tested with our tans.

Research has shown that if the teeth and gums are normal and healthy there are no adverse effects to bleaching ones teeth. Individuals with any type of gum disease or tooth decay should avoid this treatment.
